Stucchi Jewelers was commissioned to design and create a one of a kind brooch for former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. The pin was designed to represent the globe without any focus one country or continent but rather a representation of the world as a whole. The continents in 14kt yellow are raised to give depth and dimension while the continents in white are palladium plated for contrast while surrounded by crushed lapis representing deepest blue of the ocean. Lapis is known throughout history as a stone that enhances the wisdom of anyone wearing it. The pin’s border is hand wrought, twisted 14kt gold.
Over 90 hours of work went into the piece, every part of the pin was fabricated at Stucchi Jewelers’ on site manufacturing workshop. View the video below to experience the entire creation process from start to finish.
